Writing Ladders for Nursery, Reception and Y1

(0)
These Writing Ladders for Nursery, Reception and Year One are a staple in my Mark Making area’s to support staff with knowing children’s next steps and ensuring that they know the progression of writing for children’s development. Many times we get children to write words and sentences before they have grasped the basic’s of writing single letter’s, familiar words such as their name and short words/phrases. Why not use these Writing Ladders to support you and your team to help make sure all children are working towards their potential and making progress. The steps are well planned and do not have any suggested time frame to be achieved meaning that you don’t have to push children before they are ready.
